  • What is Integrative Psychotherapy?
Integrative Psychotherapy- to me- means I am not limited to one modality when working with you. I incorporate different modalities such as Existential, Psychodynamic, Gestalt and Transactional Analysis. As well as integrating different approaches, I aim to help you to reach more integration within yourself. This could mean the processing of trauma and reaching more awareness about your self.
  • How long will therapy last?
We will explore in the first session how many months you want to have therapy for. This may be short-term or open-ended, depending on when you feel you have reached a point of good enough healing. Each session, unless discussed otherwise, will last 50 minutes.
  • What happens at the first appointment?
Before our first appointment, I might suggest a phone call (please let me know if you struggle with talking on the phone and we can think about alternatives). It is really important that you feel comfortable with me and that you get a chance to decide if I am the right fit for your needs. This phone call will take around 15 minutes. In this, you can ask any questions about therapy, tell me what you want to get out of counselling and let me know about your availability. If you feel you would like to meet me in person after this, I will suggest a time for our first initial consultation. In the first (free of charge) face to face or virtual consultation we will do an assessment to explore your current difficulties, your past and your hopes. We will contract how many weeks or months to work with each other and start your therapy journey.
  • Where are your therapy rooms?
I work from different locations in Brighton and Hove. Please let me know in your initial E-mail where you live and I can let you know which of my therapy rooms is closest to you.
  • How much does one session cost?
I offer a sliding scale between £70 - £90 per session depending on your financial circumstances. I offer concession rates for student counsellors and therapists.
